Hi there,
I don't know how many AYP members are from Mumbai, but posting this anyway for those interested:
Starting January 1, 2012, make a resolution to return to your own inner self and the source of all life. Attend a beginner’s session on Three-Step Rhythmic Breathing (3SRB), an ancient technique of breathing which calms the mind and brings total physical, emotional and mental health to our body-brain system. This technique has come from the Yogasutra of Sage Patanjali. All 3SRB sessions are completely free and require no prior registration. The session will be an introduction to the system and include the teaching of the six refining exercises set to a particular rhythm.
When: January 1, 2012
Where: Thadomal Shahani Engineering College - TSEC (new building), National/MMK College lane, Off Linking Road, Bandra (West)
Timing: 9.30am to 11.30am
Contact: 99209 90985 or visit www.3srb.org
3SRB sessions are held at this venue on the first Sunday of every month. More about 3SRB
Three-Step Rhythmic Breathing is an ancient technique which comes from the Yogasutra of Sage Patanjali that until the last 20 years was known only to a few. It was only after Shri SN Tavaria, a Rishi of our present age, began teaching this technique to his students in Bombay (primarily at Gamdevi Mandir between the 80s and 90s), that 3SRB took on a public form. Today, the system has hundreds of followers in Mumbai, Pune, Baroda, Porbander, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Goa, the United States, UK, Spain, New Zealand and Australia.
3SRB consists of six simple breathing exercises set to a particular rhythm which calm the mind and bring total physical, emotional and mental health and well-being.
Over mind and body, we do not have direct control. Breathing is unique in that it is the only bodily function we can control and make rhythmic – even for all twenty hours. Three-step rhythmic breathing is the rate of breathing we are born with. As we grow, this natural rhythm is speeded up by our thoughts. Just as thoughts affect breathing patterns, if breathing is controlled, i.e. three-step breath restored, thinking is also controlled and rhythmic.
The benefits of 3SRB can be observed within weeks and include increased awareness, stamina and concentration levels. It also reduces exhaustion, irritability, aggression, excitability and depression.
It has even been found to lead those suffering from many physical diseases such as asthma, heart problems, diabetes, arthritis and digestive problems, on the path to recovery.
All 3SRB sessions are completely free of charge and our only objective is to spread the knowledge of the exercises, until now kept a secret, to as many people as we can.
