life was once magic a world aglow with divine light, casting shades of vibrant lustre even in the darkness then came a swallowing into the lost masses a widespread confusion and competition for attention creating numb caves of loneliness, and later, drunken fragmentation always was the question looming: how do i escape? it was discovered that no escape could be found in running, hiding, or re-arranging. the only relief came in sitting with the sickness, waiting for the light to return. one day it did, and with it came the seriousness, the intensity, the all-consuming desire for more of its source. when the idea of a permanent end arrived, signifying a simultaneous eternal beginning, there was no choice but to pursue the course to find if, indeed, there was truth at the bottom of the golden promise. and now, i often laugh, for no good reason. |
