Crown chakra - How to avoid/manage premature opening
Managing the opening of the crown chakra All of the AYP practices work at awakening the spinal nerve between the third eye and the root, and are opening the crown by indirect influences... hence we are automatically awakening the crown, but in a controlled manner. There is the idea out there that kundalini energy moving to the crown is the end of the enlightenment process. It rarely is. In fact, if it is premature, before adequate preparation is done, it can signal a long and difficult ordeal (see Gopi Krishna in the "links" section on the home page) Read more: Lesson 199 - Managing the opening of the crown
Premature opening So what is happening with a premature crown opening? Obstructions are being released willy-nilly. And the chaos of it and our identification with the chaos can create karma also -- a weird kind of karma that can lead us into a cycle of premature spontaneous crown openings, life after life. If we continue working at the crown in this situation, we perpetuate the whole thing, and spiritual progress can be elusive, even as our visions continue. It is only by our conscious intervention in the form of stabilizing practices that we can get off this wheel. Crown strategy and Kundalini: It is suggested to be very careful with crown focus, as the effect will be time-delayed and likely more than we are bargaining for. “Testing” is not something we can do for a few weeks or months and then feel confident to stay focused at the crown at will. It is a process that will more likely take years in a very gradual development. Read More: Lesson 287 - Crown Strategy and Kundalini
